Other users are being prompted for passwords in outlook constantly. What about forcing windows to create a new user profile on her PC by re-naming her old one? I am fishing here as this has been going on for 2-3 days. Do I need to create a whole new user name for her and try importing all her old mail from a PST? Should I disable her mailbox and create a new one? She has 10 GB of mail going back about 6 years. On the owner's computer, if I try to create a new profile in outlook, it tells me that the mailbox cannot be found. I have also tried setting up an outlook profile from my home PC and it does the same thing. You can type in the correct password all day long and it will not take it.
Unfortunately, the other one (and the one that belongs to the owner) only had one restore point available, and it was today.īUT - If I login to a new user profile on a domain connected PC and try to start outlook and run the initial setup wizard, it gets to the point where you put in your password and will not take a known good password. I was able to get one of the PCs that was having trouble working by doing a system restore. My autodiscover is currently working fine, at least according to the remote connectivity analyzer site. If anyone has additional suggestions, they would be appreciated.
I have spent a good bit more time here today and this is where things stand.
